The Universal

The universal
visited me in my dream
I longed for years

A haze at first, then brighten up
As a star come down upon
Light so vivid
Can't barely see, blinded by...

Then someone holds,
With gentleness, I feel love,
Without any reason
A tear suddenly falls,
Both happiness and remorse
rushing inside

Afraid at first
But what sent me in calmness
In stillness I hear "Son"...
Calling in tiny lovely voice

My heart melts, blood rushes
Can't find words to say
As light shines firm
Slowly I gaze a bare face.

Innocence and adore portrays
Empowerment echoes yet
Mildness catches my ear

Hear me, worry no more
I'm here ready to lead you on
Light your hope for I am here
Beseeching my child please stay...

Awaken as the sunshine passes

Unexpected Refuge

Once I was wandering in my small world
I noticed something and let it unfold
The sun once stood so proud
Now turned weak and hid in the end

Then suddenly the summer sky turned so dim
It was about to cry, very much like her
Then, dramatically it rained
It tells me that heaven was also in vain

I felt, I was in nothingness
So wet in the rain and was helpless
I was crying and knew there's nobody to turn to
But you came and shed me with care so true

I mourned and told you everything
That I had no more reason to continue living
My girlfriend had just broke up with me
And gave me reason not clear to see

You laughed but it gave me comfort
You also told me that life's so short
She was not your life's boss
Let her feel that it's not your loss

By hearing that, again I cry
I cried so hard as if I would die
Letting my grief flew up high
Happily, it all ended with a blissful sigh

You taught me to believe in myself
And not to hide in depression's shelf
You help me to stand up
And gave determination not to give up

From that day my sun shines again so bright
It radiates tirelessly with its might
From that day I am not that really defeated

I put everything what I learned in my heart and head
And gave me a heartfelt smile and simply said
Every difficult test in life is not hard to pursue
If I have a worthy friend like you.

These Lovely Things

These things are lovely and God made them so.
These little white rose wet with dew
These graceful sway of grass
Folk dancing on the sea
The green of narra leaves
The blue sky on the sea
The lazy waterfalls and rainbows in the sun
The Master's canvas in the west when day is done
My humble nipa hut beneath the swaying palm
Listening to the breeze lilting pagan songs
The moon beams on the bay
Each little bird that sings on the lane
The color summer brings
These things are lovey and God made them so,
And placed them in my country row in row
I'm glad I'm too poor to leave my shores,
And miss the loveliness outside my cottage door.
