Stern face, prying eyes
Strict bearing, and silent type
Unsympathetic is all I thought that she is
From the tips of her hair to the soles of her feet
Someone who doesn't smile I suppose
And whose firm and stiff stance I estimate never grow soft

When smile registered on her face
And her utterance of great wisdom and intelligence
A demeanor so dignified, so reserved, so feminine

A one of its kind friend, not a fied
A lass so affectionate, not indifferent
Thoughts of this story never fail to make me smile
Whenever its ironic beginnings pop out of my mind
The face of the woman that I used to dread
Is now the portrait of the person I admire.
